Medical Assistant

A well-established and highly respected vascular surgery practice in the St. Petersburg, FL area is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for helping patients and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Candidate will be expected to provide services at all FL practice locations (St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor, and Largo).

Primary Responsibilities:

· Taking patient vital signs

· Assisting with procedures

· Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens

· Maintaining clean and well-stocked exam rooms

· Documenting patient information in the electronic medical record

· Communicating with patients and their families about test results and treatment plans

· Assisting with office management tasks as needed

Secondary Responsibilities:

· Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

· Answer and route incoming calls in a timely and efficient manner

· Collect and verify patient information, such as insurance and contact information

· Process payments and handle financial transactions

· Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Medical assisting certification from an accredited program

· Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Experience with electronic medical records preferred
